He was predeceased by: his parents, James Eugene and Inez Burdeen Triplett (Haye); his stepmother Gertrude; his son Blaine; and his daughter-in-law Joni.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Giese; his children, Darryl (Jean) of Primghar, IA, Jeff (Jodi) of Sutherland, IA and Kay Sholly (David) of Hartley, IA; and his sisters, Jackie Waggoner of Sutherland and Janice Plumanns of Sun City, CA.
