She was predeceased by: her parents, Elma Ziegler (Seaton) and Lee Ziegler; her brother Dale; and her sister-in-law Helen Ziegler (Charles Whittenburg). She is survived by: her children, Cindy Christensen (Kevin), Charley Whittenburg (Nancy), Nancy Whittenburg (Gary Nelsen) and Robert Whittenburg (Heather); and her grandchildren, Heidi Hancock (Brian), Bridgette Schmidt (Nate), Joseph Christensen, Elizabeth Girling (John), Peter Christensen (Sierra), Harry Whittenburg-Nelsen, Emma Whittenburg, Pearl Whittenburg and Vivian Whittenburg. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Ruth Ann's memory to TTT-Chapter BP or the Spencer Public Library.
