She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Eaton and Anna Eaton (Heisler); her husband John Richard Vail; her son-in-law Don Smith; and her sister Miriam Eaton.
She is survived by: her children, Nicholas Vail (Marcia) of Carpinteria, CA, Cynthia Smith of Fountain, CO and Suzanne Koenig (Marty) of Sioux Rapids, IA; her grandchildren, Jaime Koenig (Mike Macias), Kelcy Koenig, Austin Smith (Kelly), Samantha Erickson (Jacob) and Adina Vail; and her great grandchildren, Aiden and Ashtyn Macias. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
