He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Amal and Rena Halverson (Hansen); his former wife Charlotte Van Houten; his spouse Jean Tielbur; and his siblings, Don, Honroe, Virgil, Bendix, Junior, Emmett, Nellie Sunblad and Helen Andersen.
He is survived by: his sons, Kent Halverson (Glennis) of Alta, IA and Brian Halverson (Denise) of Sioux Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Mindy Riley, Tara Meyer (Matt), Jennifer Sumpter (Jeremy), Janell Karsten (Eric) and Garrett Halverson (Melissa); his great grandchildren, Ryan, Peyton, Hailey, Devin, Ashlyn, Brinley, Landon, Carson, Ava and Silas; and his stepchildren, Cheri Woolery and Monty Dammann. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
