She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Schlagel and Paulina Schlagel; and her sister Mary Ellen Fluegeman (Ken Norris). She is survived by: her sister Marge Perren; her children, Deb Norris, Sandy Norris Murray (Dick), Jenny Zalaznik (Kevin) and Kyle Norris (Diedra); and her grandchildren, Drew Hjelm (Rebecca), Andy Murray, Alex Murray and Katy Taylor (Grant). She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Clay County Heritage Center, Grace United Methodist Church, or the American Legion Glen Pedersen Post No. 1 in Iowa.
