Williamson of Spencer, Iowa, born in Rolfe, Iowa, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold E. Bates and Ferne L. Bates (Peterson); her brothers, Lloyd, Larry and Kenny Bates; her sisters-in-law, Bonnie and Jeneane Bates; her parents-in-law, Henry and Bertha Williamson; and her siblings-in-law, Gene, Peanuts Williamson, Lorraine, Bob Spurling, Luverne, Betty Williamson, Norman, Scharny Williamson and Kenny Garrelts.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Oviatt (Pat) of Spencer, Pam Rupar (Randy) of Minneapolis and Doug Williamson (Jill) of Ruthven, Iowa; her grandchildren, Sara Oviatt, Jeff Oviatt, Keely Ring, Carter Williamson, Rylee Williamson, Taylor Williamson, Haley Rupar and Grant Rupar; her great grandchildren, Zach, Bentley, Blair, Leena and Milo; her siblings, Jim Bates (Shirley) of Graettinger, Harry Bates of Twin Falls, David Hatch (Diane) of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Carol Sherman (Jerry) of Pella and Sandy Iwen (Craig) of Emmetsburg, Iowa; and her sisters-in-law, Sharon Bates of Britt, Aura Beth Bates of Virginia and Joann Garrelts of Spencer, Iowa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Martin-Mattice Funeral Home (1010 Merrill St, Ruthven, IA 51358). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (1901 Rolling St, Ruthven, IA 51358).
