He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ricklefs and Ellen Ricklefs (Olson); his siblings, Martin and Eileen Arndt (Lester); his parents-in-law, Delbert and Quma Heiken; his brother-in-law Marvin Heiken; and his son-in-law James Reis.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Heiken (Betty); his daughters, Dianne Hough (Randy) of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Janna Reis of Spencer, Iowa and Linda Bredehoeft (Mark) of Willmar, MN.; his grandchildren, Emily Volkert (Steve), David Bredehoeft (Kelli), Brian Reis, Brad Reis (Jenny), Joshua Bredehoeft (Jan Fahlmann Andersen) and Danielle Bredehoeft; and his great grandchildren, Eleri Bredehoeft, Tenley, Tate Bredehoeft, Jalyn, Brandt Reis and Kassandra Fahlmann.
