It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jasen Petersen (Spencer, Iowa), who passed away on March 10, 2020, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Vern, Viola Johnson, Marvin Petersen and Grace Dick; and his uncle Mike Johnson.

He is survived by: his parents, Rod Petersen and Pam Petersen (Johnson) of Spencer, IA; his wife Melanie Hansen of Spencer, IA; his children, Ryan, Luke and Morgan; his friend Bentley; his sister Rhonda Boeve (Mike) of Ames, IA; his nieces and nephews, Camden and Callen Jase; his parents-in-law, Pete Hansen (Jan) of Storm Lake, IA and Jane Brown (J. R.) of Graettinger, IA; his sister-in-law Angie Beschorner (Scott) of Minneapolis, MN; his nieces and nephews, Jordan and Lizzie; his aunt Marcia Christy (John) of Spencer, IA; and his uncle David Johnson (Becky) of Spencer, IA. He is also survived by cousins; other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his name.
