It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Russell Heisler (Spencer, Iowa), born in Sibley, Iowa, who passed away on October 27, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Heisler and Esther Heisler (Glade); his son Brian; his brother Philip; his parents-in-law, Orrin and Ingrie Alger; and his brothers-in-law, Carl Brechler and Wayne Alger.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Heisler of Webb, IA; his daughter Michelle Gibson (Bob) of Webb, IA; his grandsons, Calvin Gibson (Nellie) and Brandon Gibson (Morgan); his daughter-in-law Tonya Heisler of Emmetsburg, IA; his granddaughters, Megan Heisler (Emily), Mount Sherman and Madison Heisler; his daughter Melissa Merida (Alfredo) of Linn Grove, IA; his grandchildren, Kimberlee Merida, Conner Merida and Artemio Merida; his daughter Jennifer Laursen (Karl) of Peterson, IA; his granddaughters, Halle Laursen, Natalie Laursen and Kailee Laursen; his sister Barbara Brechler of Spencer, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Rhoda Heisler of McHenry, IL, Connie Peters (Fred) of Sioux Falls, SD and Bill Alger (Jeanette) of Portland, OR. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established.
