We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2020, at the age of 63, James Lawrence Reis (Spencer, Iowa), born in Emmetsburg, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Leon Reis. He is survived by: his wife Janna Reis; his children, Missy Oatman (Wayne) of Humboldt, IA, Brian Reis of Des Moines, IA and Brad Reis (Jenny) of Spencer; his grandchildren, Daymon, Ruthann, Ryann Oatman, Jalyn and Brandt Reis; his mother Bernadine Reis of Pocahontas; his sister Peggy Graversen (Keith); his sisters-in-law, Dianne Hough (Randy) and Linda Bredehoeft (Mark); and his parents-in-law, Kenneth and Betty Ricklefs. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Due to State and Federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the family will not be having a public memorial at this time.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established by the family.
