He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Sutton and Marie Sutton (Younkton); his significant other Susan Bolyard Sutton; his siblings, John, Charlie, Fawniel and Helen; his niece Ramona; and his nephew Donald.

He is survived by: his stepdaughter Amy Gilbert; his children, William (Michelle), Cheryl and Lynn; and his sisters, Lois and Dorothy. He is also survived by several grandchildren; great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
