He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Slaymaker and Charlotte Slaymaker (Peacock); his sisters, Charlene McAmis and Diane "Didy" Kunzmann; and his brother-in-law Neal McAmis.
He is survived by: his wife Lorri of Spencer, IA; and his brother Dennis (Sharon Slaymaker) of Spencer, IA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established by the family.
