It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Halverson of Spencer, Iowa, born in Lakefield, Minnesota, who passed away on January 22, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund Johnson and Opal Johnson; her siblings, Everett (Lois), Irving, Inez Flint (Don) and Mildred Imrie (Max); and her brother-in-law Ed Hanson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandy of Spencer, Iowa and Salutatorian; her former husband Virgil Halverson; her daughters, Sandra, Judy Moss (Marvin) of Galt, Iowa and Joan Horton (Jon) of Earlham, Iowa; her granddaughter Julie Horton of Ankeny, Iowa; her daughters, Carla Morgan (Gordon) of Boquete, Panama, Shari Bral of Ottumwa, Iowa and Kyle Moss of Clarion, Iowa; and her sister Ardyce Hanson of Ames, Iowa. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
