He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Bechler and Sabrie Bechler (Wilcox); his wife Wanita O'Tool; his siblings, Ruth Bechler, Merle, Harold and Robert Bechler; and his son-in-law James Weishaar.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Hogan Lector, Lois McCarty, Sally Cole, Michael Gerdes, Jannette Windisch, Brenda Peterson, Roxanne Gross, Steve Struve, Dennis Struve, Tammy Heflin, Kevin Bechler, Joe Bechler, Christoper Abel, Corley Abel, Megan Martin, Linda Gerdes (Gary) of Weatherford, TX, Patricia Weishaar of Spencer, IA, Pamela Struve (Carl) of Rolfe, IA, Mary Abel (Clark) of Greenville, IA and Gary Bechler (Lea) of Spencer, IA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; 4 great-great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
