Gladys Rose Wilcox Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Rose Wilcox (Spencer, Iowa), born in Emmetsburg, Iowa, who passed away on April 11, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Christopher Clare and Lola Crook Clare; her husband James Wilcox; her son-in-law Terry Christensen; and her siblings, Jeanne Ridgeway, Kate Westerman, Nancy Seaver, Margaret Shaver, Helen Baggs, Elsie Reed and Christopher Clare, Jr..

She is survived by: her daughters, Lois Christensen of Spencer, IA and Sherrie Green (Roger) of Spencer, IA.; her sister Janet Davis of Lacon, IL.; and her grandchildren, Tony Christensen (Rita) of Rochester, MN, Lance Christensen (Lori), Kelly Norsdchow (Brian), Shannon Green (Debbie), Angi Green Hill, Dawn Fletcher (Clay), Darci Green and Hugo.

Due to State and Federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not be having a Public Memorial at this time.

In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established by the family.
