Bruns and Marie Bruns (Schmidt); his former wife Betty Slykhuis; his wife Marlene Hulstein; his children, Linda of Sioux Falls, SD and Lyle of Sioux City, IA; his grandchildren, Brittney (Cory Vander Lugt) of Sioux Falls, SD, Blake (Stephanie Bruns) and Bailey (Evan Jensen) of Oldham, SD; his great grandchildren, Kinzer Vander Lugt, Keira Vander Lugt and Rylan Jensen; and his sister Shirley (Val Cudnoski) of Lubbock, TX. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.
