He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob J. Bertsch and Martha J. Bertsch; his brother Roger Bertsch; and his grandson Jack D. Vescovi. He is survived by: his wife Marion J. Speidel; and his children, Deb Schomer (Butch), Sheila Vescovi (Kelly), DuAnn Bertsch, Charlene Frick (Keith) and Duane Bertsch (Tami).
In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to First Baptist Church of Spencer and St. Luke Lutheran Homes and Services.
