He is survived by: his wife Arlene Fairchild; his daughter Debra Wetherell (Doug) of Linn Grove, IA; his granddaughter Megan Sliss (Saul) of Rochester, IN; his great grandchildren, Ellie and Cross; his grandson Ross Wetherell (Amber) of Peterson, IA; his great grandchild Alexis; his granddaughter Rachel Kramer (Brandon) of Marengo, OH; his daughter Karen Gregg (Jody) of Callisburg, TX; his grandson Chad Lawrence (Katie) of Wendell, NC; his son Dave Fairchild (Kris) of Winterset, IA; his grandchildren, Austin Fairchild (Judith) of Oceanside, CA, Azreal, Caitlin Fairchild of Iowa City, IA and Logan Fairchild of Winterset, IA; his daughter Lori Geurink (Scott) of Wausau, WI; his grandchildren, Tessa Geurink of Sioux Falls, SD and Colton Geurink of Wausau, WI; his daughter Kay Godfredsen (Tom); his grandchildren, Kennedy Godfredsen of Urbandale, IA and Thadeus Godfredsen of Urbandale, IA.; and his sisters-in-law, Doris Fairchild of Henderson, NV and Johanna Fairchild of Maryville, MO. He is also survived by 5 children, 11 grandchildren, and (4) great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church in Spencer.
