He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Hollesen and Beverly Hollesen (Thomas); his in-laws, Albert and Rosemary Bohr; and his friend Chad Perrigo.
He is survived by: his grandson Ben; his wife Marilyn Hollesen of Spencer, Iowa; his children, Bennie Jr. Hollesen (Val) and Anne Hagedorn; his sister Deanna R. Johnson of Montgomery, Illinois; his grandchildren, Tanner Perrigo (Mikaela), Elizabeth Hagedorn, Grace Hagedorn, Mattie Hagedorn, Sawyer Hollesen and Briann Hollesen; and his great grandchildren, Jagger and Beckham Perrigo.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sliefert Funeral Home (708 Thomas St, Sioux Rapids, IA 50535). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
