It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Christensen (Spencer, Iowa), who passed away on June 27, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Hildreth and Stella Hildreth (Cook); her husband Harold Christensen; her brother Bruce Hildreth; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Hildreth, Don Mason, Amos Christensen, Jr., Lois Mason and Virginia Christensen.
She is survived by: her children, Ron Christensen (Maureen) of Spencer, Kent Christensen (Nicole) of Spencer and Rochelle Christensen of Minneapolis, MN; her grandson Clayton Christensen (Audrey Van); her children, Jasmyn, Emerson Christensen, RJ, Laylah Kalsow and Janessa Mechler (Kyle); her grandchildren, Rydia and Link Mechler; her daughter Amy Christensen (Colby Thompson); her grandsons, Stanley and Wyatt Byerly; her son Kurt Christensen (Erin); her grandchildren, Avery and Braylen Christensen; and her cousins, Jan, Ruth and Barb. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
