It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Pettit of Solon, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on June 27, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Calhoun (Gus) and Leona Viola Pettit (Meyers); and his brothers, Joseph Dewayne Pettit, Thomas Allen Pettit and Terry Lee Pettit.
He is survived by: his wife Kerrie Jean Smith of Solon; his children, Lisa Pettit (Adam) of Cedar Rapids, Bryan Pettit (Marie) of Marion and Chad Pettit (Traci) of Marion; his grandchildren, Austin, Blake, Brayden, Leona and Vivian; his sister Diana Lillian Willey of Hattiesburg, MS; his aunts, Margaret Behrens and Shirley Meyers; and his pet Denali. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
