It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Ikan (Solon, Iowa), born in Frankfort, Indiana, who passed away on January 1, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Ikan and Audra Marie Ikan (Hamilton); his parents-in-law, Morris and Evelyn Blum; and his aunts and uncles, William Hamilton (Mary), Kay Plank (Ellis), Lyle Blum (Mildred), Sally Lyle (Sam) and Jim Blum (Beulah).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Blum; his son John Coltrane Ikan of Iowa City; his brothers-in-law, Gary Blum of Los Angeles and Larry Blum (Gail) of Marion; his nephews, Michael Blum, John Blum of Los Angeles and Shane Null (Cassie) of Shoreline, Washington; and his niece Shelley Smith of Charles City. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
