He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Stahle and Martha Stahle (Krob); his wife Mary Alice Stahle; and his siblings-in-law, Libbie Stahle and Robert Steinbrech.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Stahle, Richard Stahle (Diana), Carol Bedell, Larry Stahle, Janet Messinger (Gary) and Joyce Meyer (John); his grandchildren, Ryan Bedell (Stacy), Amanda Hammerberg (Bennet), Rachel Spessard (Tony), Scott Stahle, Christina Falvey (Dan), Sheri Hansen (Kyle), Ben Stahle, Nick Messinger, Sarah Green (Anthony), Samantha Stahle, Noah and Megan Meyer; his great grandchildren, Maverick, Jack, Camille, Brooklyn, Reid, Gage, Henry, Cecelia, Cole, Hank and Paisley; his brother James Stahle; and his siblings-in-law, Marge Welch (Ray), Irene Steinbrech, Francis and Edward Steinbrech (Nargi). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to either the New Solon Firehouse Fund, Iowa City Hospice House or the Solon Retirement Village in his name.
