He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Sr. Phelps and Mary Leona Phelps (Finnegan); and his sisters, Marilyn Mathes and Roberta Parker (Jim). He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Donohue; his children, Kelly Breese (Scott) and Keith Phelps (Lisa) of Solon, IA; his granddaughters, Nicole Breese and Emma Phelps; and his brother-in-law Jean Mathias.
A Mass will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1749 Racine Ave NE, Solon, IA 52333). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ava Centre (100 Cedar St, Solon, IA 52333).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to RV Care-A-Vanners or Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity.
