With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kent L. Scranton of Solon, Iowa, born in Ottumwa, Iowa, who passed away on November 26, 2021 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Scranton and Pearl Scranton (Arnold); and his brothers, Neal Scranton (Betty) and Nels Scranton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Wilson; his children, Rachel Owen (Jason) of Solon, Jon Scranton (Aimee) of Anamosa and James Scranton (Tara) of North Liberty; his grandchildren, Rebekah Woodrome (Jad), Jilliann, Jair, Maggie, Lincoln, Elizabeth, Ava, Austin, Hudson, Kaitlyn, Kael and Kyler; his great grandchild Ezra; and his brother Kelly Scranton (Connie) of Rochester, Minnesota. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as his nieces and nephews.
