It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John DeSalme of Solon, Iowa, born in Corpus Christi, Texas, who passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Orrin and Frances (Rogers); his former wife Sylvia Haverlah; his nieces, Marti and Michelle Hunt; and his nephew Ben O'Meara.
He is survived by: his former wife Peg Brown; his children, John (Erin Wyld), Rob (Nancy) and Suzanne; his grandchildren, Heather Phillips (Tyler), Amanda Hanson (Will), Levi and Izak Kaiser; and his siblings, Dick (Joyce), Tom (Judy) and Estelle Crawford. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Bird House-Hospice Home of Johnson County, Iowa Brass, or a favorite bike trail.
