He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hayes and Claire Hayes; and his siblings, Jack Hayes (Alice), Joan Pihl (Ivan) and Ann Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Mona Lawlor; and his children, Steven Hayes (Angie), Michael Hayes, Julie Kasparek (Mike), Chris Hayes (Linda) and Jeff Hayes (Christina). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; as well as niece and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Church or to Hospice of Mercy in his name.
