He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kalskett and Elsie Kalskett (Moltsau); his wife Diane Kalskett (Marik); his son Wade Kalskett; his parents-in-law, Edward and Ruby Marik (Thoreson); and his siblings, Lisa and Larry Kalskett.
He is survived by: his daughter Mary Mauch (Josh) of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his grandchildren, Sendeska, Megaeska Kalskett, Autumn Mauch, Jordyn and Dan Mauch; his siblings, Terri Savery (Gary) of Onawa, Jeanne Nelsen (Doug) of Soldier, Susan Kirlin (Bill) of Modale, Rita Utman (Gary) of Modale, Iowa and Craig Kalskett (Peg) of Leland, Iowa; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Marik (Clara) of Lake City, Raymond Marik of Red Wing, Minnesota and Darlene Tingerthal (Tom) of Chillicothe, Missouri. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bethesda Lutheran Church (703 Pine St, Moorhead, IA 51558). A prayer will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
