He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Sanford and Doris Sanford (Druivenga); his son Andrew Paul Sanford; and his granddaughter JoAnn Street. He is survived by: his sons, Adam Lee Sanford of Correctionville, IA and Travis Street (Lexie Wiig) of Correctionville, IA; his fiancée Amy Cain of Correctionville, IA; his grandson Andrew Street; and his sisters, Barbara Kron (Mike) of Sioux City, IA, Nancy Allen (Tom) of Sioux City, IA, Karla Kluver (Gary) of Sloan, IA and April Shaffer (Greg) of Onawa, IA. He is also survived by extended family, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Armstrong - Van Houten Funeral Home - Mapleton (210 S 5th St, Mapleton, IA 51034).
