She was predeceased by : her parents, James Walpole and Grace Walpole (Ernst); her husband Jess Kirkendall; her sons, Jay Kirkendall, James Kirkendall, Kirk Kirkendall and Daniel Kirkendall; and her siblings, Edward Walpole and Catherine Wilde.
She is survived by : her daughter Candace Maynard of Rocky Mount, Missouri; and her daughters-in-law, Karen of Sloan, Linda of Sloan, Sue of Sioux City and Bonnie of Camdenton, Missouri. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.
The end of WW1 and the Spanish Flu Pandemic had ended the year prior to Mary's birth.
