It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce E. Johnson of Sloan, Iowa, born in Hartley, Iowa, who passed away on May 22, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Everett Selken and Wilma Selken (Hasse); her son Richard Arnold, II; her grandchild Kaylyn Denny; and her brothers, Jim Selken and Jerry Selken.
She is survived byher husband Rodney Johnson of Sloan; her daughters, Sherri Christensen (Wally Wallenberg) of Sioux Falls, Brenda Denny (Russ Kramer), Cynthia Arnold of Dallas and Nicole Gustin (Steve) of Dakota City; her step-daughter Tracy Baker of Sioux City; and her sister Janelle Teply (Carl) of Elk Point. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
