It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack E. Vitito of Sloan, Iowa, born in Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on July 31, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Ralph Vitito and Helen Vitito (Long); his sons, Dale Vitito (Terrie), South, Douglas Vitito (Judia) of Jackson, NE and Donald Vitito (LeAnne) of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Tanner, Michael, Sara and Ryan; his great grandchildren, Paislley, Axell, Valley and Logan; and his siblings, Betty Ohm (Gene) of Sioux City, IA, Gary Vitito (Sandy) of Arnolds Park, IA, Carolyn Viers (Dan) and South.

Debbie Westphal wrote a sympathy message

“I've known Jack for many many years when he used to carve birds out of wood and bring them to the office to show them to us. I will miss his weekly phone calls and visiting about his family. He would always ask about my 94-year old mother. I know he loved his family and you won't find many like Jack anymore; he was a genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever known. I will miss you Jack and your weekly calls to visit. Debbie Westphal.”
