She was predeceased by : her parents, Marvin Nelson and C. Bernice Nelson (Ruhd); her husband Fred Byers; and her brother Garry Nelson. She is survived by : her children, LeeAnn Resendiz (Robert) of Byron, MN, Jeffrey Reitan (Julie) of Whiting, Steven (Sheila) of Manning, IA, Teresa Jans (Stan) of Dakota City, NE, Vicki Kron (Bryan) of Whiting and Derek Byers (Fawn) of Onawa; her brother Pat Nelson of Sioux City; her sisters-in-law, Susan White (Ron) and Margie Fargo-Simmons; and her close friend Dee. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and along with many nieces, nephews.
