She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Nelson, and Clara Nelson, Sr. (Roe); and her brothers, Lester "Butch" Nelson, Jr. (Millie), Philip Nelson and Charles Donald Nelson.
She is survived by: her husband Wendell Mortvedt; her sons, Steve Mortvedt (Janet), Mike Mortvedt (Nancy), Tim Mortvedt (Wanda) and Todd Mortvedt (Sherman Dubar); and her grandchildren, Angie Kamps (Brad), Matt Mortvedt (Celeste), Mallory Bowman (Dan), Megan Mortvedt, Christopher Mortvedt (Natalie), Tyler Mortvedt (Jodi Arends), Ryan Cable and Brooke Mortvedt (Trevor Tucker). She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Slater, IA.
