It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Deanna Kay Jones (Slater, Iowa), born in Dodge City, Kansas, who passed away on August 1, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Vernon and Agnes Anna Boal Werner; her siblings-in-law, Jim and Mary Jones; her niece Teresa Jones; her nephew Bruce Teague; and also, James and Loretta Jones.

She is survived by: her husband Thomas Jones; her children, Kyle (Cindy Adams) of Sheldahl and Rachelle Breen (Mike) of Ankeny; her grandchildren, Kurt Jones (Canaa), Brent Jones, John Breen and Shelby Breen; her great grandchildren, Gage and Riley Jones; and her nieces, Julie Tull and Jackie Teague.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Sheldahl United Methodist Church, Slater Library or Hope Ministries of Des Moines.
