He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Hogrefe and Hilda Hogrefe (Lullmann); his parents-in-law, Don and Leona Gibbons; and his son Kirby Hogrefe.
He is survived by: his wife Annette Hogrefe of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; his daughter Kari Swanson (Jim) of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; his siblings, Charlie Hogrefe (Valerie) of Albert City, Iowa, Rich Hogrefe (Barb) of Albert City, Iowa and Marsha Boyd (Carl) of Storm Lake, Iowa; his grandchildren, Bailey Wiederin (Tanner), Maja White, Kolby Hogrefe and Kelsey Hogrefe; his stepgrandchildren, Haleigh and Emma Swanson; his great grandchildren, Nora Wiederin and Paxton White; and his siblings-in-law, Don Gibbons (Kris) of Greenfield, Missouri, Jeff Gibbons (Dee) of Arnolds Park, Iowa and Becky Christensen (Dewey) of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
