She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Long and Wanda Long (Hoffert); her parents-in-law, Ivan and Virginia Thompson; and her siblings-in-law, David Thompson and Barbara Sundberg.

She is survived by: her husband Mark Eugene Thompson of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; her children, Christina, Christy Driver (Eric) of Sioux Rapids, Iowa, Angela Christian (Paul) of Linn Grove, Iowa, Jeffrey Thompson (Jessica) of Ruthven, Iowa, Melanie Elbert (Mathew) of Whittemore, Iowa, Mark Thompson (Niki) of Sutherland, Iowa and Stephanie Piddington (Paul) of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; and her grandchildren, Connor, Layla, Lilly, Aiden, Nora, Jack, Landon, Madelynn, Zander, Nolan, Parker, Finley, Logan, Hudson, Allison and Ivan.
