He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Trobaugh and Audrey Trobaugh; his brother Douglas Trobaugh; and his nephew Joshua Trobaugh. He is survived by: his children, Kirsten Wynn (Donavon), Benton Quade (Nicole), Derek Trobaugh (Alicia) and Alicia Gessler (Craig); his grandchildren, Dominic, Dawson, Aria Trobaugh, Jackson, Sydnee Wynn, Lillian, Sam Quade, Hailey and Tanner Nieman; and his siblings, Karlene Heilman, Dave Trobaugh and Michael Trobaugh.
