With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shaya Mari Newman of Sioux City, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 17, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Newman and Rose Newman (Turner). She is survived by: her daughters, Brandy Cook of Houston and Tori Jackson (Brad) of Sioux City, Iowa; her grandchildren, Ebonneee Cook (Trevor) of Houston, Brandee, Kayla Anderson of Sioux City and Malix Cook of Sioux City; her great grandchildren, Amiiya, Aleigha, Holden, Avianna, Navy and Nile; and her siblings, Tim Stenburg of California and Suzie Newman of California.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel (3220 Stone Park Blvd, Sioux City, IA 51104). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
