He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Motz and Mary Motz (Murray); and his sister Marilyn Davidson. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Craig Motz of Sioux City, IA, Kristy Carstensen (Mike) of Lakeville, MN and Jeff Motz (Christin Lantz) of Johnston, IA; his brothers, Robert Motz (Jean), Dennis Motz (Jan), William Motz (Deb) and Cesar Narvaez; his brother-in-law Dr. Richard Davidson; his grandchildren, Alexis, Kaylee, Delainey, Harlen, Malia, Jaxon, Zavi and Luci; and his pet Murray. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Holy Cross Parish or the athletic departments of Bishop Heelan or Briar Cliff University—an apt tribute to a man who supported these schools and parish throughout his life.
