He is survived by: his parents, Daniel Kaplan and Ellen Kaplan (Dachauer); his wife Ziqiong "Zoey" Kuang of Washington, D. C.; his siblings, Emily Soloway (Brian) of Los Angeles, CA, Dr. Jacob Kaplan (Natalie Wilner) of Charlottesville, VA and Kate Kaplan of Washington, D. C; his niece Sadelle Soloway; his nephew Miles Soloway; and his uncles, Dr. John Dachauer of Austin, TX and David Kaplan (Julie) of Sioux City.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Siouxland.
