With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Ann Yates of Sioux City, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 12, 2025 at the age of 82. As Mary Ann departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mary Ann may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mary Ann leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. Sheehan and Loretta Mary Sheehan (Laddusaw); and her son Kenneth McWilliams. She is survived by: her husband Vernon Yates of Sioux City; and her children, Natalie Broderson (Rob) of Sioux City and Vern Yates (Katie) of Sioux City.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. James Global Methodist Church (2032 S Cypress St, Sioux City, IA 51106). A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
