He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry B. Young and Ida R. Young (Deitsch); his siblings, Ralph Young, Harry "Benny" Young, Steve Young (Martha), Daniel Young (Carolyn), Sharon King (Danny) and Dorothea Ernest England (Gean); his sisters-in-law, Linda Young, Bonnie Young (Ralph) and Vickie Jensen; and his father-in-law Bob Jensen (Betty).

He is survived by: his wife Connie Young; his daughter Julie Young-Wieging (Phillip); his grandchildren, Justin, Lacey and Megan; and his siblings, John Young (Bonnie), Tim Young, Kathy Gibson of Ohio, Alberta Siegrist (Paul) of Ohio and Roberta Sutter (Mike) of Ohio. He is also survived by grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
