He was predeceased by: his parents, Gradus Veldhuizen and Elbertha Dorothy Van Veldhuizen (Aalbers); and his brothers, Harold and Larry. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Van Veldhuizen of Sioux City; his daughters, Shavelle Peschau (Richard) of Paoli, Sheryl Welte (Kevin) of Sioux City, Shelly Lindell (Matt) of Seward and Shaun DeChicchis (Tim) of Stafford, Virgina; his siblings, Gladys Kroeze (Rod), Dennis Van Veldhuizen (Sallee) and Bonita Kenagy; his grandchildren, Jonte Harris, Andre Harris (Orlandrea Woods), Kaylie and Jacob DeChicchis; and his great grandchildren, Jalen, Mahlia, Kyrie and Niko. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
