It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Marie Carroll of Sioux City, Iowa, born in Ames, Iowa, who passed away on September 11, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Fleig and Mary Fleig (Blount); and her brother John Fleig. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Thomas J. Carroll of Sioux City; her children, Mary Greeley (Chad) of Mendota Heights, MN, Dr. Thomas R. "Tommy" Carroll (Amie) of Sioux City and Anne "Annie" Garbe (Ben) of Edina, MN; her grandchildren, J. J., Emma, Colby, Tommy, Everett, Colin, Grant, Grace and Eloise; her sister Barb Fleig of St. Paul, MN; her sister-in-law Connie Fleig of Ames; and her cousin Helmut Berger of Lorch, Germany. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center or Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools.
