It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R. Byrne of Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though James has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Byrne and Patricia Byrne (Minnig); and his sister Barbara Byrne. He is survived by: his siblings, William Byrne (Mindy) of Sioux City and Karen Glamann (Trent) of Kearney, Missouri; and his nieces and nephews, Abby Byrne, Jacob Byrne, Steven Byrne, Megan Garber (Kamron) and Garrett Glamann (Alissa).
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Boniface Church (703 W 5th St, Sioux City, IA 51103). A rosary was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
