She was predeceased by: her parents, William Barr and Trudy Barr (Latham); her husband James Wanned; her daughters, Joy Lynn Whitenack and Alonna Kay Schade; her granddaughter Alicia Marie Folkers; her in-laws, Howard and Vivian Wanned; and her siblings, Garth Barr, Helen and Barbara Barr.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Jean Wissing (Tom) of Rogers, Ark. and Jimmy Wanned of Sioux City; her brother-in-law Roger Wanned; and her nephews, Gary Barr (Cathie) and Billy Barr (Teresa). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel (6200 Morningside Ave, Sioux City, IA 51106). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
Memorial Donations may be given to the Siouxland Humane Society in Donna's memory.
