It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dennis Michael Yanney of Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Mary Jacobs Yanney; his grandson Garrett Bumgarner; his brother Vance Yanney; and his brothers-in-law, Dawain (Joan Fear), Gaylon Fear and Harold Van Der Sluis.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Yanney; his daughters, Kelly Yanney (Adams) of Omaha, NE, Kimberly (Anthony Bumgarner) of Woodbury, MN and Ashley (Josh Stevens) of Sergeant Bluff; his grandchildren, Taylor, Brayden Adams, Ava Bumgarner and Kane Yanney; his stepgrandchildren, Arianna, Jason and Sarah Stevens; and his sisters-in-law, LaVonne Van Der Sluis of Sheldon, IA and Marlys Fear of Olds, IA. He is also survived by nephew, and several cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar St. Thomas Orthodox Church (1100 Jones St, Sioux City, IA 51105). A prayer was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Thomas Orthodox Church (1100 Jones St, Sioux City, IA 51105). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar St. Thomas Orthodox Church (1100 Jones St, Sioux City, IA 51105).
