She was predeceased by: her parents, George Kamp and Celia Vande Kamp (Vanden Berg); her husband Alfred J. De Jong; and her siblings, Gerrit (Priscilla Vande Kamp), Hilbert (Loraine Vande Kamp), Geneva (Leonard Vande Bosch), Marvin Vande Kamp, George Vande Kamp, John T. Van Holland and Celia (Marvin).
She is survived by: her children, Alma Schaap (Ron) of Sioux Center, Iowa, Gloria Kingma (Lou) of Hawarden, Iowa, Lavonne Van Oort (Dave) of New Hampton, Iowa, Dennis De Jong (Lin) of Rock Valley, Iowa and Karen TeHennepe (Greg) of Byron Center, Michigan; her siblings, Allan Vande Kamp (Marlene) of Rock Valley, Vernon Vande Kamp (Leona) of Orange City, Iowa, Geraldine Van Holland of Rock Valley and Norma Nikkel (Nelson) of Pella, Iowa; and her sisters-in-law, Harriet Vande Kamp of Rock Valley, Marla Vande Kamp of Orange City and Darla Vander Wilt of Hospers, Iowa.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great- grandchildren.
The family prefers memorials be directed to the Ireton Christian School.
