She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Cleveringa and Mabel Cleveringa (Van Marel); her husband John Van Riessen; her sister Aldeane Williams; her brother-in-law Gordon McKinstrey; and her great grandchild Brody Michael Van Riessen.
She is survived by: her child Verl Van Riessen of Cape Coral, FL; her grandson Chad (Brandy); her great grandchildren, Madison, Carli and Paxton; her daughter Candi Newbury (John); her grandchildren, Alaina, Lexi and Mark Van Riessen (Susan) of Urbandale, IA; her great grandchildren, Jennifer Van Bruggen (Shawn) and Karen Long (Andy) of Johnston, IA; her daughter Terri Mouw of Sioux Center, IA; her sister Kathy McKinstrey of Orange City, IA; and also, John, Carole, Michael, Samantha and Eric. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
The Van Riessen family prefer memorials be directed to Sioux Center Hospice, The American Cancer Society or First Reformed Church Women's Ministry.
